5 Safe Hairstyles For Your Next Workout

There are a lot of things to consider when planning a workout. Do you have time to shower before and after your workout? Will the weather impact your decision? These are all valid questions, but there's one thing that should always be at the top of your list: What hairstyle will work best for this particular workout?

It's true; every workout is different, so it's important to make sure you're doing what's best for that particular day. This means knowing how long it takes you to get ready (on average), what kind of equipment is available, whether or not changing clothes is necessary—the list goes on!

So if you're looking for some new ideas about what works well with working out, take a look at these six styles.

Slip into a silk scrunchie

There are many benefits of using silk scrunchie hair ties. They're made from natural materials that won't damage your hair, so you don't have to worry about breakage or split ends. Silk is also easy to wash, so even if you sweat a lot during your workout, it will stay pristine and shiny.

Additionally, silky fabrics are gentle on the skin and can be worn by people with sensitive skin conditions such as eczema or psoriasis—so they could help relieve some of the itching caused by these diseases!

Braid it back loosely

To keep your hair out of your face, but not too tight, a loose braid is a way to go.

  • To keep it out of your face and still look cute, you can pull your hair back with an elastic or a scrunchie. If you want to add some volume in the front or side bangs/fringe area then tease them up with hairspray before braiding. I would recommend teasing the top layer only because if you tease all layers then it will be too bulky and heavy on top. Teasing will help give it more body and volume! You don't want to overdo it though because that can lead to frizziness later on which isn't anyone's friend either!
  • Using an elastic might seem like an obvious choice since we use them so often but braiding can damage hair over time so using something else instead may be a better idea especially if this style is going to be worn often (like during workouts). A bungee cord also works really well for this purpose because they're super easy to use while still being secure enough not to fall off until taken off manually by removing the looped end from headfirst towards behind the backside instead downwards towards the neckline as usual when removing any type of elastic bands used before;

Tuck and roll

Take your hair into a ponytail, then wrap it around itself to form a bun. Secure with bobby pins, or if you want to make sure it stays in place, use a headband instead of pins. This style is perfect for keeping your hair off your face so you can see what's going on during HIIT training or spin class.

Do a loose top knot

To get this style, start by pulling your hair back into a high ponytail. Secure it with an elastic and then take out the elastic. Smooth down your hair and tie it into a loose knot at the top of your head, securing it with a silk or satin ribbon if you want.

If you’re looking for a quick way to make sure you don't end up with sweaty strands when working out, this type of hairstyle is perfect!

Go au natural and use a sweatband

If you're a bit of a hippie at heart, or just hate having your hair in your face while working out, then you should try out an au natural style. All it takes is some bobby pins and hairspray to keep the stray hairs in place.

Another option is to use a sweatband instead of a headband. The latter usually has more elasticity than the former so it may be better suited for holding back thicker hair types like mine (though I've used both and found that they work equally well).

Avoid sweaty hair under a hat

Sweat can dry on your scalp and potentially clog your hair follicles, as it can mix with bacteria and irritate or damage the scalp. This can result in dandruff, an itchy scalp, or even more serious issues if left untreated.

To keep this from happening to you while wearing your hat, try wearing a sweatband underneath.

Conclusion

So there you have it, the top safe hairstyles for working out.

Whether you're hitting the gym or just going for a jog, make sure you're keeping your hair safe. And don't forget to shower afterward! Haircare is important—and not just for how good it makes your hair look. Your hair is an extension of your body and should be treated with care. Remember: if you take care of your hair today, it'll take care of you tomorrow.
